For Providers
We deliver the best because we select the best
We understand that as a physician (or any type of medical professional), you could choose to work for any number of service providers. Our network of providers (25,000 options and growing) choose to work with MCN because we put medical expertise and medical integrity at the heart of everything we do.
Credentialing Process
MCN’s national network of physicians and consultants includes more than 25,000 scheduling options nationwide. Prior to working for us, each member undergoes a thorough credentialing process per URAC standards which includes the following steps:
- Verification of state medical licensure
- Verification of board certification
- Submission and review of a CV/resume
- Verification of current, adequate malpractice coverage
Additionally, each provider submits the following items to MCN:
- a completed and signed provider agreement
- a signed W-9
Providers maintain current licensure and malpractice coverages. MCN requires immediate notification from the providers if there are any changes in licensure status or malpractice coverage, or if there are other changes which would alter the previously provided information. Additionally, our staff re-credential each provider on a regular basis to catch any lapses in coverage.
MCN uses the American Medical Association (AMA) master database, state licensing division websites, and applicable certifying board websites for primary-source verification of Board Certification status, state licensure status, residency information, medical school graduation, and other information. If the provider has had any reportable matters to a licensing board or the National Practitioner Databank (NPDB), related information is carefully reviewed and MCN determines candidate appropriateness on a case-by-case basis.
